Karen Rennich, who has done a wonderful job as the helm, will be stepping down as Executive Director at the end of this year. To that end, the BIP transition committee is actively seeking those interested and qualified persons who would like to apply for the position of Executive Director. The Bee Informed Partnership is seeking an additional Technical Transfer Team member to work with commercial beekeepers in the Midwest region. The Team member will serve beekeepers in the home state of Minnesota, and travel frequently to North & South Dakota, Wisconsin, Texas and California, following colony migration through the seasons. The salary range is $43,000-50,000 (based on experience) per year and will include full medical and retirement benefits.

Full-time positions are available to join an ongoing breeding project near Hilo, Hawaii, focused on Varroa resistance in commercially desirable honey bees. ![]() The Alberta Beekeepers Commission is seeking a passionate and dynamic Team Lead to found our Technology Transfer Team (office location TBD). This is a permanent position, with a salary range of $60,000-80,000 (based on experience and education) per year and will include benefits. The Team Lead will work for the Alberta Beekeepers Commission and will build a technology transfer program to meet the needs of commercial and small-scale beekeepers across Alberta. The position requires beekeeping experience, preferably in a commercial beekeeping setting. It will require fieldwork, extensive travel, close interaction with beekeepers and other stakeholders.
