Pollinator Week Photo Contest!

Donate to support practical, impactful honey bee research 
and put more pollinator habitat on the landscape!

In celebration of 2019 Pollinator week, Project Apis m. is hosting a pollinator photo contest.  We are asking our friends and colleagues to share this opportunity on your social media outlets and include it in your Pollinator Week event announcements where appropriate. 
 
The duration of the contest will be from June 17th – June 23rd.  Finalists will be voted on by the public to determine the Grand Prize and Runner-up winners. 
 
To enter:  Follow @ProjectApism on Instagram or Facebook, and post an original photo of your favorite pollinator, or a photo of how you help pollinators, to Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #NoWastedLand
 
Grand Prize*:  3 raised bed garden boxes, a 2 deep hive kit, one ventilated beekeeper’s suit and a 5 tool starter kit from Mellivo - valued at $1,800!

Second Place Prize*:  A pre-planned pollinator garden from American Meadows (redeemable spring, 2020)

Runner-up Prize*: Alltruist Chocolates - gourmet dark chocolate truffles that are deeply satisfying and healthy, and they help save bees!
 
*winners outside of the USA will be required to pay for shipping

Guidelines and Rules:
  • One photo entry per person is allowed.  Entries must be posted between June 17th and June 23rd.  Submissions outside of this date range will be disqualified.
 
  • Initial Photo submissions will be judged by professional photographers and communications specialists.
 
  • Photos will be judged on storytelling ability as it relates to pollinators and/or supporting pollinator health as well as artistic and technical elements.
 
  • Photos must be original, and it is recommended that you include the location of where the photo was taken.
 
  • 6 Finalists will be selected, and will be voted on by the public via. Instagram and Facebook.
