The PAmily is growing with the addition of two new team members to the ‘field force’: Sara Brown and Stetcyn Maldonado. Based in Minnesota, Sara Brown joins PAm as our new Development Manager. Sara will be focused on growing our relationships with beekeepers and beyond and helping us deliver research, resources, and solutions that are impactful.
Sara is an avid gardener and has a deep appreciation for the contribution of bees to our food supply chain. She brings with her much experience in development and a wide and creative skill-set gained working with other nonprofits. We appreciate that Sara is driven by curiosity. “It may have killed the cat, but it also opens a wide, wonderful, world of career experiences!” We can’t wait to learn from her! Based in California, Stetcyn Maldonado comes to PAm with a master’s degree in agricultural education, and a lot of experience working with growers in California. Having managed 250 acres of orchard crops, Stetcyn appreciates the challenges growers face, and will translate her background to PAm as the new Climate Smart Habitat Manager. Specifically, Stetcyn will work with our Seeds for Bees program in partnership with Blue Diamond Growers to support the recently awarded $45million USDA grant to expand climate-smart practices in orchards. Stetcyn is:“passionate about the environment and agriculture and views every day as a chance to learn something new and to share what she discovers with others.” We can’t wait to work with Stetcyn and see Seeds for Bees grow! Welcome, Sara and Stetcyn!
